River Cruise to The Swamp Walk 

The East Pearl River is home to the Alligator Habitat. While not a guarantee to see alligators our chances are high.

On the river tour, we will journey to the edge of Lake Borgne where the mouth of the river flows into the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It borders the state of Louisiana and Mississippi, bringing some of the most beautiful migratory birds to be seen.

While the boat ride is rich in wildlife, marshes, and history, if you want to journey into the swamps you will need to walk with us.

No worries, we will be on a board walk path, walking through the swamps, of the East Pearl River.

We will visit a few historical sites, and and see nature up close and personal with its unique vegetation, and home to the Cypress Tree. Walk through the swamps with Gulf Coast Eco upfront and personal, while viewing wetlands and learning about conservation.

The swamp walk gives you a birds eye view of the swampy marsh ecosystem, while the boat ride gives you all that nature has to give of the area. River Boat Ride and Swampy are $99 per person. Boat ride and walk combined are approximately 2 hours long.

Birds of the area include, Blue heron, Pelicans, Ospreys, Hawks, Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, Warblers, Buntings, White-eyed Vireo, Yellow-breasted Chat, Indigo Bunting and more rarely, Painted Bunting. Swallow-tailed Kite, Mississippi Kite, Broad-winged Hawk, Eastern Wood-pewee, Wood Thrush Swainson's Warbler (cane) Yellow-throated Warbler (cypress) Northern Parula, and Prothonotary and Hooded Warblers, Egrets, and much more.
